N.4 Kinematic Viscosity, Dynamic Viscosity and Density Standard

Gentaur’s N.4 Kinematic Viscosity, Dynamic Viscosity and Density Standard can be used to calibrate, control or validate all types of viscometers including capillary, flow cup, rotational, falling ball, falling/rising object, stabinger and vibrational viscometers.This Viscosity Standard and all Gentaur Viscosity Standards are reported to 4 significant figures on their Certificate of Analysis.Only 2 significant figures are shown here for expediency of layout. - This product has been tested according to ASTM method D 2162 for Kinematic Viscosity using Ubbelohde Master Viscometers. - The Density has been tested in accordance with ASTM method D4052 (Kinematic Viscosity x Density = Dynamic Viscosity). - Kinematic Viscosity values and Density values are traceable to the Primary Standard of pure water at 20°C as adopted by NIST. Temperature values are traceable via National Standards to the ITS-90 temperature scale.
